What is cost sharing?
The share of insurance costs that you pay out of your own pocket relating to deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments, or similar charges. Premiums, balance billing amounts for non-network providers, and the cost of non-covered services are also healthcare expenses you pay out of pocket, however these are not considered part of insurance cost sharing.
